About me

Originally from Palo Alto, California, I have lived in LA, Seattle and Bozeman, Montana. Two years ago I landed on the UWS of NYC. I’ve also traveled all over the U.S. and Europe, and have spent time in China. Thus the theme of my blog–”All Over The Map.” The blog’s title is also self-referential in that what I post here will indeed be a range–dispatches for my family back in California, essays and articles I’ve penned, musings about the progress of my magazine idea–”Solo”, as well as a smattering of advice about how to live in New York (and in the world) Shambora-style.

As an editor at Travel + Leisure Golf Magazine, I get to combine my love of writing and the links. I am also at my happiest when skiing, reading and traveling. The middle child of three, I am eight years my brother’s senior and eight years my sister’s junior. I enjoy singing the national anthem in the shower, have difficulty blowing bubbles with bubble gum and possess a freakishly good memory. I am not an “animal person” and I don’t have strong feelings about professional sports teams.
